The Vegan Museum opened on February 1, 2017 (the first museum of its kind in the country). The museum consists of 12 wooden panels, containing information about the impact our food choices have on the environment, our health, and animals. It also includes the histories of vegetarianism, Chicago’s early vegetarian scene, plus information about local and national vegan organizations including The Bread Shop – Chicago’s first modern-day vegetarian business. Stop by and see The Vegan Museum anytime during regular library operating hours!
